Ingredients:

2 cups semolina
1 cup coconut powder
3 eggs
3 cans of nestle cream (قشطه)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup vegetable oil
12 or 14 peeled almonds

syrup:
1 cup sugar
pinch of saffron
1 cup water


1. preheat the oven to 150 degrees celcius annd spray or butter a pyrex plate.

2. put all the cake ingredients in the bowl and mix with the electric mixer. (without the syrup ingredients.

3. put the mixture in the pyrex plate and put almonds on the top.

4. put the plate in the preheated oven and wait till the top of the basboosa becomes a brownish color and when u touch it on the top its a bit spongy.

5. take out the plate and let it cool.

6. while the basboosa is cooling , put the syrup ingredients in a saucepan and let it heat while stirring with a spoon till the sugar melts.

7. after the cake cools and the syrup cools, pour some of the syrup on the cake. and let it sink in, don\'t put too much. (the recipe above for the syrup is too much).
