RECIPE FOR DILL WITH RICE - KUWAITI RECIPES

Instructions:

Ingredients:

4 tablespoons cooking oil
1 medium onion or 150g, chopped
2 whole pieces dried limes, cut into halves
1 teaspoon saffron threads
2 cups or 150g fresh dill, chopped
3 cubes MAGGI Chicken Stock
1 tin or 400g canned green peas, drained
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
2½ cups or 500g Basmati rice
4½ cups or 1125ml water


Preparation:


Heat oil in a saucepan and fry chopped onions for 2 minutes or until it becomes tender.
Add dried limes, saffron threads, dill, MAGGI Chicken Stock cubes, strained green peas and cardamom then stir all for 1 minute. Add rice and water.
Bring to boil then cover and simmer on low heat for 15- 20 minutes or until rice is cooked.

Tip: Remove seeds from inside the dried limes before adding them to the pot to avoid bitterness in the taste.
